On Oct. 28, 2026, students would gather at Ross Hall to spend their evening to join in the release of this year’s Hallowzine, participating in Halloween-themed activities, enjoying free pizza, and getting time to study.

The release party began with a performance from the Haskell chorus, performing the song “The Ballad of the Witches Road” from Marvel’s miniseries Agatha All Along.

The performance was then followed by the release of the Hallowzine, which included artwork, poems, comics, stories, and research papers submitted by students. Many Hallowzine booklets were on tables around Ross Hall for students and faculty to take and read.

Students participated in many fun artistic activities that were held inside the art room, such as creating mini monster masks out of clay, Halloween print making, and a monster corpse drawing, where students could collaborate together to create a body-sized monster.

There was also a videogame room where students could play games on consoles such as the Playstation VR and the Nintendo Switch. Different selection of games were provided for students to play such as Batman: Arkham VR and Super Smash Bros.

Near the end of the event, the horror film Hokum was shown for students and included a horror-themed raffle after the movie to win prizes which includes the book “Never Whistle at Night Part II Back for Blood,” and a Frankenstein book plush.

While the event provided lots of fun activities, students were also able to spend their time in the study room to work on school work, as well as seeing writing tutors. Little Caesars pizzas were provided with a wide selection of toppings to pick from, alongside sodas and juices.

The 2026 Hallowzine Release Party was a great success, providing a variety of Halloween fun for everyone to enjoy.
