Haskell Indian Nations University Men’s indoor track and field team concluded their 2023/24 indoor season on a high note at the American Midwest Conference Championships Saturday on the campus of Principia College.
The Men’s team finished fourth with a score of 55 points in their inaugural American Midwest Conference Championship. The men started out the scoring with the 4X800 relay team made up of four freshmen, Dyami Berridge, Burton Miner III, Jaylan McCoy-Bark, and Anthony Lossiah, placing 2nd with a time of 8:22.25. In a photo finish Conference, “Newcomer of the Year,” Eric Brazille won the 60m dash in a new school record time of 7.06 seconds. Rounding out the podium finishers for the Indians was Jaylan McCoy-Bark, with 3rd place finish in the 1000m in a time of 2:50.81.
