Sports Insider: Tory Grassrope Aka DJ Grassrope
Ello, This is DJ Grassrope from the Lower Brule Sioux tribe in South Dakota.
This is my first year with KJHK and I’m excited to be the new sports insider to let you know about our athletes upcoming events, results as a team, and as individuals from our talented Haskell Indian Nations University. I’m going to be a junior this fall at Haskell and am expecting my Associates degree in communication and my Bachelors in business management. I was blessed with the opportunity to be a dual athlete. I’m a part of the track and field and basketball team and representing my home state and tribe as an individual has been an honor and a privilege that I am thankful for.
The type of music I enjoy is hip-hop, rap, metal, and rock. I love whenever artists blend these genres together and have multiple songs experimenting and merging them to create something completely new-age. Some of my favorite artists are Lil Darkie, S.O.A.D, TOOL, $uicide Boy$,Lil peep, A$AP Rocky, and Travis Scott.
