HINU to Host Mental Health Day Event with Resources, Performance, and Free Food

Haskell Indian Nations University’s Student Government Association (SGA) will host a Mental Health Day event on April 2, 2025, at Coffin Complex from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This event will focus on raising awareness about mental health while connecting students with valuable resources in an engaging and supportive environment.

The event will feature a mental health resource fair, where students can explore information and services to promote mental well-being. Various campus and community organizations will be on-site to provide guidance and support.

A highlight of the evening will be a guest performance by GNWY, a group known for its high-energy, art-infused shows that deliver messages of hope and purpose. Their performance will begin during the event and conclude at 7:00 PM.

To create a welcoming atmosphere, attendees can enjoy free food from Raising Cane’s and Mad Greek while connecting with peers and learning about mental health resources.

“SGA is hosting this event for students and families because we understand the importance of protecting mental health within the Indigenous community,” said SGA President Angel Elizarraras.
