On Thursday, February 15, 2024, Haskell’s Gamma Delta Pi chapter hosted a storytime for local kids to attend with their families. The event in Haskell’s Tommaney Library allowed families to bring their children to hear various books by Indigenous authors.
At this event, hosted by Gamma Delta Pi’s Delta chapter, potential new members were asked to read to local families and children as a way to give back to the community.
Each of the potential new members was tasked to find a book that they found had an important meaning or story for Indigenous children to learn and showcase that book.
Potential new members also needed to be in attendance to support their sisters in this community service event.
