De’Ja Finley, Taylor Hall and Kari Snelding competed in a collegiate level powerlifting competition at Kansas State University in late April. Finley, a Haskell sophomore, won in the junior weight class of 148 lbs. Snelding won in the junior weight class of 118 lbs. Hall won in the open weight class of 118 lbs. Hall and Snelding are both juniors. The trio all took gold medals home to Haskell. The trio are active members of the Barbellas, a woman’s lifting club here on campus.
